Tricia Olsen, PhD, is Associate Professor and Associate Dean at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. She is also jointly appointed at the Korbel School of International Studies. Olsen studies and teaches about the political economy of development, with a focus on Latin America. Dr. Olsen’s current research is on corporate human rights abuse, which involves the creation of a large-N database of historical trends of businesses’ human rights practices, the Corporations & Human Rights (CHRD) database (
www.chrdproject.com). Olsen has received support from various organizations, including the National Science Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation, USAID, Fulbright-Hays, and the British Academy/Leverhulme. She has also consulted for the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights, the Global Business Initiative, and the World Bank. Her published work can be found in Organization Studies, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Business Ethics, Comparative Political Studies, among others. Olsen earned her PhD from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
